World Water Day

Every two years the Municipal Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment of Capital City of Warsaw  is pleased to organize just in the Polish capital - World Water Day. The holiday was established by the UN General Assembly Resolution of December 22, 1992 - celebrated annually on March 22. The idea behind the event is to raise awareness of the European Union Member States to correct the impact of water on their economic and social condition. PRG “Metro”LLC , Hydrobudowa Poland JSC , Infra JSC and PBG Foundation are joined in the action of World Water Day as a unit in support of any pro-environmental actions.

The two-day International Scientific and Technical Conference on "Safety of drinking water in water supply systems", organized in celebration of World Water Day attracted many honorable guests from all over Europe. The conference addressed the issue of water pollution in urban and industrial areas, the dangers they bring, but also how to prevent it. Presented flagship business activity in Europe, which, thanks to modern technological solutions have delivered the highest standard of product-water, processed and drinking.

Professional preparation of all who attended the conference allowed all the guests to speak in discussions. The organizers made sure that everyone, despite the language barrier, they could share them knowledge and experience. The carefully prepared materials introduced in the subject matter of each presentation.

The conference was closed presentation of the film "The first can be only one" showing the construction of water transmission system from the left-bank Warsaw's Czajka wastewater treatment plant to realized by a consortium composed of PRG “Metro” (leader)  LLC., Hydrobudowa 9 JSC, Hydrobudowa Poland JSC these companies are part of the Holding Company PBG  and partner Infra JSCThis project is one of the key stages of the project "Water supply and wastewater treatment in Warsaw," the investor is the Municipal Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment of Capital City of Warsaw  This is the largest in the EU initiative undertaken in the field of environmental programs, is intended to include 100% clean water produced by the city before being discharged to the river.

The end of the celebration of World Water Day was a picnic in the square landing for all the inhabitants of Warsaw. The youngest of Warsaw held a full time educational games, on the topics of water, prepared by the  Municipal Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment of Capital City of WarsawThe star of Saturday afternoon was the singing Natalia Kukulska.
